It is the story of a seemingly normal married couple, Alan and Pamela Morrison and their teenage daughter Wendy, who are experiencing identical terrifying dreams of being snatched from their car by mysterious forces, after a visit to Pamela’s parents.Alan, a teacher at the local High School, is despised and envied by his Headmaster because of his highly successful non-authoritarian teaching style. His wife, Pamela, a hardworking social worker, is so dedicated to her job, that she has difficulties finding quality time to spend with her husband and daughter. Alan, scared that Pam is having a secret affair with her work colleague, nonetheless believes that if they would only talk to each other, their marriage would be saved. Twelve year old Wendy, apparently unaware of the growing estrangement between her Mum and Dad, has her own problems, trying to survive being bullied at school for being her class teacher’s daughter. However, everything gets much worse, when the family, unbeknownst to them, have a “Close Encounter of the Fourth Kind”. They initially realized something uncanny had occurred, when upon arriving home, they discover that three hours of their lives were missing. They also recall seeing a strangely behaving “shooting star”, and then driving through a weird green fog. Plagued by nightmarish dreams of monstrous non-human entities, and bizarre medical examinations, Alan and Pam, in desperation, reluctantly turn to a local UFO investigator and a hypnotherapist for answers to account for their ‘MISSING TIME’. Their search for answers threatens to horribly change their lives forever when the investigators arrive with a hack newspaper reporter who cares more about selling a sensational story than protecting the anonymity of traumatized victims of abduction by extraterrestrials.
